Does the price include GST and delivery charges?

The published rates in our price list include GST, but not delivery, which will be quoted to your site. The marquee and pavilion prices include erection on a level site. Where vehicle access is not directly possible to your site, additional charges may apply for the time to load and unload items. We will provide a firm quote for the full cost to you to suit your requirements and location.

Do the marquees have doors and walls?

White walls are provided for marquees with clear window walls available for an additional charge. The walls can be folded back to create openings for access. The marquees can be used without walls if required, or with 1, 2 or 3 walls.

Can marquees be joined together, or to my verandah or pergola?

The marquees can be arranged in various formats. They can often be butted against your structure to extend the space you already have, and can be joined together to make larger or special shapes. A guttering system is used between adjoining marquees to make them rainproof.

Marquee walls can often be attached to verandas or pergolas to provide extra shelter. Please discuss your situation with us to see if we can meet your needs.

Can marquees be erected on paved areas or where sprinkler systems are installed?

The marquees are commonly erected with pegs to secure them, but weights can be used for guying them if necessary. These weights are either water filled plastic drums or concrete weights. Please discuss your requirements with us if long pegs cannot be driven into the ground where you wish to have the marquee.

How many people can sit at the tables and trestles?

For a formal table setting we would recommend a maximum of 4 people per small round table or 8 people for a large 1.5 metre round table.  If your function is to be a more casual style the tables can fit up to 6 and 10 respectively.

A 2.4 metre trestle table can seat up to 10 people with 4 along either side and 1 at either end.  If you intend to join the tables together to create a long banquet table allow 8 people per table.

I have 50 people coming to my function. What size pavilion or marquee would you recommend?

This table gives recommended maximum numbers of people for various styles of function.

Formal Dining

Cocktail Party

Theatre Style

Pavilion Size
10 X 3 30 40 55
10 X 6 60  85  115
10 X 9 90  125  170
10 X 12 120  170  230
10 X 15 150  200  285
10 X 18 180  250  340

For marquees, the capacity is around two thirds of the above.
These figures do not allow for extra space for a “head table”, speakers, access, buffet tables, or other equipment.

N.B. If we are not advised when you receive an item that it is damaged, you risk being charged for that damage.

What happens if an item is damaged during my period of hire?

If the damage will seriously affect the enjoyment of your event, contact us to arrange repair or replacement.

Ph: 08 8391 5141 or Mob: 0408 106 222.

For minor damage, such as broken glassware, crockery or chairs, please advise us at the end of your hire. The hirer is responsible for any damage, breakages, loss or theft of items that occurs while the goods are under hire. AHPH will invoice the hirer for any damage, breakage, loss or theft, with payment due within 7 days of invoice. A breakage or loss charge of $5.00 per glass, crockery or cutlery item ($10.00 per cocktail or martini glass) applies.

In particular, the hirer is advised that coloured paper, such as streamers and party poppers, will produce permanent staining to marquees, which can only be repaired by replacement of the material. The hirer will be responsible for the cost of replacing marquee material if such staining occurs.

NO STREAMERS, PARTY POPPERS OR OTHER COLOURED PAPER ARE TO BE USED IN MARQUEES.
Refer to the conditions of hire on the website, quote or invoice.

Do I have to clean items after use?

All items (except linen such as tablecloths and chair covers) are to be clean, packed and ready for collection or delivery to the AHPH depot at the agreed time. The cost of cleaning items not returned in clean condition will be the responsibility of the hirer. Linen items are to be bagged in the soiled linen bags provided. Chairs are to be stacked ready for loading. Refer to the conditions of hire on the website, quote or invoice.

Can I extend the hire period?

If you wish to continue to hire the items longer than previously arranged, please contact us to verify that the items are available and not required for another customer. Generally an extension of time will be possible. Additional charges may apply.

Can I hang decorations in the pavilions or marquees?

Some decorations are suitable for use in the marquees, however coloured paper, such as streamers, crepe paper and party poppers, will produce permanent staining to marquees, which can only be repaired by replacement of the material. The hirer will be responsible for the cost of replacing marquee material if such staining occurs.

NO STREAMERS, PARTY POPPERS OR OTHER COLOURED PAPER ARE TO BE USED IN PAVILIONS OR MARQUEES.
Refer to the conditions of hire on the website, quote or invoice.
Balloons, plastic streamers, metallic foil decorations and similar decorations should be satisfactory, but you should check the colour fastness of anything that may stain the marquee material.

What if the gas runs out for the heaters or barbecues?

A 9 kg cylinder is supplied full at the start of each hire period and will usually last long enough for most events. If you intend using gas items for an extended period, please discuss your needs with us to arrange additional cylinders. Additional charges may apply if extra gas bottles are needed
